Description
Spokane Falls Community College seeks a part-time Adjunct Psychology Instructor to teach Psychology courses with an emphasis on General Psychology and Lifespan Psychology. The position may also support Motivational Psychology courses within the Bachelor of Science program. Instruction may occur in-person, hybrid, and online.
Key Responsibilities
• Teach Psychology courses including General Psychology and Lifespan Psychology
• Deliver instruction in classroom, hybrid, and online formats
• Maintain student accessibility through office hours and communication channels
• Develop syllabi, instructional materials, and grading criteria
• Evaluate student progress and provide timely feedback
• Support student success and academic achievement
• Follow institutional policies and academic procedures
• Promote professionalism, respect, equity, and inclusion
• Support Spokane Colleges' mission and strategic goals
Minimum Qualifications
• Master's degree in Psychology from an accredited institution
• Equivalent of one full academic year of teaching experience
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
• Commitment to student success and community college education
• Understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles
Preferred Qualifications
• Two or more years of teaching experience
• Experience supporting student retention and success initiatives
• Academic advising or Guided Pathways experience
• Additional graduate coursework or Ph.D. in Psychology

• Authorization to work in the United States
