Advertising Account Executive

Here is your chance to work for the well-respected Journal of Business newspaper, in Spokane, Washington, and the Inland Northwest. We are seeking a full-time display advertising account executive. Your duties include: advertising sales, prospecting, and assisting clients with their marketing plans. Prior sales experience is required. Looking for motivated, self-starters with great people skills.

The Journal publishes a bi-weekly print newspaper for business readers, as well as a monthly print newspaper, titled Inland Northwest Senior, and also provides advertising opportunities on its comprehensive website, 11 email newsletters per week, podcasts, and business-related events. We are interested in candidates who are passionate about digital and print advertising sales, as well as sponsorship sales.

The position is paid on a commission basis, with a $40,000 per year guarantee. Compensation also includes a small stipend for mileage and personal phone use, and competitive employee benefits such as health care, dental, and 401(k). Commissioned sales representatives at the Journal earn between roughly $45,000 and $85,000 annually depending upon their production levels.
