OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW: Donor Relations Coordinator
The Donor Relations Coordinator provides administrative support to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane County’s Resource Development team, who work collaboratively to ensure sustained growth and income that covers the organization’s annual operating budget. They will ensure that best practice administrative processes operate efficiently. Support includes, but is not limited to: stewardship, campaigns, corporate, foundation, and donor communications, grants, and events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Reports to: Major Gifts & Campaign Director
- Provides administrative support to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane County’s Resource Development team to ensure sustained growth and income that covers the organization’s annual operating budget
- Ensure that best practice administrative processes operate efficiently
- Support includes, but is not limited to: donor and partner stewardship, communications, campaigns, events, grants and database management
- In collaboration with the Major Gifts & Campaign Director, craft communication material including, but not limited to: press releases, publications, newsletters, grants, etc
- Create compelling narratives and content to be utilized across platforms and audiences
- Proofread content to ensure high-quality writing and consistent messaging
- Help manage and organize special events, including managing and set up of supplies and materials, maintaining event records, preparing sponsorship proposals, and assisting with related communications and follow-up
- Provide administrative support, as needed, with event record keeping
- Support donor stewardship efforts including, but not limited to: acknowledgements, maintaining printed material inventory, preparing materials for meetings, etc
- Assist with other campaign and stewardship tasks, as assigned
- Support the grants management process in coordination with relevant club staff through prospecting, forecasting, grant profiles, submission of requests and reporting
- Utilize appropriate data processing and filing methods for key departmental tasks such as in kind requests, award letter entry and grant agreements
- Support presentations to organizations with the ability to enhance advocacy, giving, in-kind and volunteering for BGCSC
- Update records, maintaining accuracy and ensuring contact information is current for all partnering organizations
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule with some nights and weekend requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
A combination of the experience, education, and training listed below which provides an equivalent background to perform the work of this position.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience, preferably in nonprofit, administration, marketing, fundraising or related discipline
- Demonstration of strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
- Ability to work independently or in collaboration with others
- Proficiency in Office 365, donor database software and communication/design platforms (e.g., Canva, MailChimp); experience supporting events or using event management tools is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position including sitting or standing for up to eight (4) hour periods
- Ability to frequently lift, carry and position objects weighing up to 25 pounds when moving office supplies and event materials
- Frequent standing and bending
- Regularly moves about the facility during a typical day
Licenses or Certificates:
Certification in First Aid/CPR; or ability to achieve First Aid/CPR Certification within first 6 months of hire
